The B. F. Kellogg Room

Probably Bruce's favorite room because of it's warm yellow color and it overlooks his much loved and prideful gardens. Mr. Kellogg, the owner of the livery stable, built the first house in Cape Charles. As his business succeeded he diversified into the ice delivery business, he then built and moved to larger and better houses. This cheerful, 4 windowed room overlooks his last house built in 1926, a Jacobean Flemish Bond Brick.

This room was actually 2 rooms that were opened into one large sunny room, with the bathroom featuring hand painted textured walls, using a technique like ragging, only using "saran wrap". The pair of Crewel floral box pillows were hand stitched by Carol, as a gift to her Mother over 30 years ago.
